Sleeve system, musician photography, press kit
Lowtide releases jazz and ambient records in editions of five hundred, most of them recorded in small rooms.
We set up a sleeve system built on one grid and one typeface, and photographed the musicians where they play, so each record changes its picture and nothing else.
Twelve releases have used the system so far.
Twelve records, one grid and still no two sleeves alike.
The musicians were shot where they play, in low warm light. The listening portraits for the press kit were taken in our studio on plain grey and black.
